Ramped hits the road again in 2011

After a winter break, the Ramped project took to the road again this weekend starting in Ellesmere on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday evening we joined the Area 51 crew in Ellesmere Market hall. We erected the ramps alongside those belonging to Area 51, Thanks go to all the crew for letting us do this.
On Saturday we had the usual format of a beginners session, followed by an Open session and finishing off with competitions.
Apart from the riders the location in the Centre of Ellesmere attracted quite a few passers by, calling in to find out just what Ramped has to offer those who take part. Loads of compliments  - thanks for these it gives us a real buzz to know that people are interested and can see what this offers people.
We had two new elements to the operation of the roadshow this time. Aaron bought along his tools and offered a maintenance corner to carry out minor repairs. Lynne joined us to help us deliver a tuc shop serving up some great hot dogs, drinks and the like.
Ramped t shirts have now also been produced and these could be seen on a number of the riders, clearly gaining in popularity.
So a good start. Pictures to follow and on to Oswestry for the next session at Holbache tomorrow. Lets hope for reasonable weather as this one is outdoors. See you soon.
